Conch piercings are located in the inner ear "shell", just outside the ear canal. The most popular type of jewellery for this piercing is a labret stud usually with a gem ball. This stud has a flat back minimising the risk of it catching on clothes, hair or during sleep. This piercing is usually 1.6mm and jewellery must match the gauge (thickness) of the piercing. The most common lengths for studs for the conch piercing are 6mm and 8mm. Alternatively a 12mm+ internal diameter ball closure ring, or horseshoe of 10mm+ internal diameter could be worn. Please see our sizing guide for help choosing the correct size jewellery for your conch piercing.
